ROLAND R-1000 @2S8B1 disk recorder
The R-1000 is an intuitive and independently operating, dedicated recorder / player designed to work with the V-Mixing System during any type of event or production. You can also connect the R-1000 to any digital console that has a MADI output connector using the ROLAND S-MADI REAC MADI Bridge.
The R-1000 is based on REAC ( ROLAND Ethernet Audio Communication), which eliminates the need for large and noisy analog snakes, replacing them with Cat5 / 6 (Ethernet / LAN) cable.
Recording in Standard Broadcast WAV Format
The R-1000 is a dedicated recorder capable of recording up to 48 tracks of 24-bit audio. Its digital interface uses REAC technology and connects to devices such as V-Mixer, Digital Snake and MADI Bridge. The sound is stored on a removable HDD in Broadcast WAV format, which makes it easy to transfer to any DAW environment. This dedicated recorder ensures stable and reliable audio capture during every concert and live event.
Multi-channel playback for various applications
The R-1000 can play up to 48 tracks simultaneously. Data can be loaded from external devices, complete with tags, playback can start from any designated point. Using previously recorded material, the soundcheck can take place without the participation of musicians on stage. The mix of selected tracks can be monitored thanks to the two analog monitor outputs and a headphone output.
Flexibility to fit into any configuration
Build a system by combining REAC devices such as the V-Mixer and the Digital Snake. Connect any digital console with the optional S-MADI Bridge. Universal connections include Word Clock, Video Sync, MIDI, SMPTE (LTC), GPI control and RS-232 serial port. In addition, there are two USB ports on board - one for data backup to an external USB drive, the other for connection with a PC / Mac for further program control.
Live Recording System (REAC)
This live recording system uses the REAC port on the V-Mixer (SPLIT / BACKUP) connected to the REAC (TO MASTER) port on the R-1000. Up to 40 channels of 24-bit audio are recorded from the V-Mixer and when finished they can be opened in any DAW program such as Cakewalk SONAR / V-STUDIO thanks to HDD access.
Backing track playback / Sound check
The R-1000 can be used as a 48Ch multi-track player for live gigs and productions. Taking advantage of the two-way audio streaming from the REAC, the R-1000 can be connected between the V-Mixer and the Digital Snake for applications such as virtual soundchecks or other training exercises.
Live Recording / Playback (MADI)
Record / play 40 channels of audio with each MADI-equipped console, thanks to the S-MADI Bridge and R-1000. Use two S-MADI units to record and play back up to 48 channels.
